I perused Amazon.com and saw a lot of plain black leather and foam-looking pouches, so I was really excited when I found the Sienna Leather Elite Case. It is made from this brown leather that has a cool vintage feel to it. I saw a lot of leather cases in the $20-$40 range, so I was a bit hesitant as to how good the quality would be (so cheap for a leather case!) but took a chance with it anyways since it was a great deal. Once I received it, I was really impressed with the workmanship and how well it fit my Kindle device. I have some friends/family that recently purchased the Amazon Kindle, so I'm definitely thinking about stocking up on some of these cases as stocking stuffers and gifts!
Instructions to avoid damage missing, otherwise perfect cover

Reviewer: M. Dalen,
I've been the proud owner of this cover for about a week. It offers good protection and is comfortable to hold, it does not add much weight and seemed like the perfect purchase... until today. I had not taken the Kindle out of the cover since I installed it in the cover, but today I took it out to show a visitor. Since I had read about the plastic hinges on the Boxwave covers breaking earlier, I was very careful, but still the top hinge broke.
In other words, if you intend to leave the Kindle in the cover forever this is a low cost very nice cover. If you will sometime remove the Kindle, purchase a more sturdy one.

Edit: I asked Boxwave for a replacement, which they were happy to send. I was not asked to send in the damaged cover or pay for shipping. I've also looked more closely at the design of the cover, and found that the fault isn't in the design, but in the missing instructions for use.
To remove the Kindle from the cover:
1. Put the cover open on a table.
2. Push the innermost part of the top hinge a few millimeters towards the bottom hinge, depressing some kind of spring.
3. The hook on the top hinge will then be clear of the Kindle, and the Kindle can be removed without damaging the cover.

Since this was my only problem with this cover, my rating has changed to 5 stars, but with 3 stars for ease of use.
Good Case at Good Price

I had purchased this case directly from Boxwave's site. The case is very nice. I had an M-Edge Go cover and wanted to get a 2nd cover as a back up. This cover was a great price and when I received it I was amazed at the quality of the cover. This cover does not have the hinge system which I was happy about that. My Kindle fits securely in the cover. It is nicely padded leather and is lighter in weight than the M-Edge Go cover. It has a vintage look to the leather. It has a strap that closes on the back which I thought was strange at first but I like it because it gives it a clean look. It tucks in when you fold the front around to read and will latch if you want. I am now using this cover as my main cover and would like to purchase the red patent leather one in the near future and pass my M-Edge cover on. I can still use my mighty bright light with the cover as I had with my other cover. I would recommend this case and for the price(15.95) you can't beat it.
Works perfectly

My wife and I both bought Kindles and covers - I bought the BoxCar product, she bought one that cost 6 times as much. Frankly, I see very little difference between the two. The leather in hers is softer and more flexible, but that's not necessarily positive for a device that's meant to protect the kindle from damage during transport. I like the magnetic catch that enables you to close the unit or to fold the front cover behind the kindle and keep it in place - hers doesn't have one. The kindle fits in snugly, and I've had no problems in a month. Great value for the money.
