Are Australians unable to order the new amazon Kindle with 3G+ wifi in white?

I tried ordering the white kindle for someone and after entering the shipment details it informed me that this was a “US only” product from amazon and directed me to this page http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003DZ1Y7M?country=AU and I can only find the graphite kindle. Would someone be able to give me a link if it is possible to buy the white one?

Apparently only the graphite color is available for shipment to Australia. Being in the US, I’ve never paid much attention to what’s available in other countries but I do spend time on the user forum and I’ve never heard this mentioned. I do know that the ones available for shipment outside of the locations that use the US AC adapter are already packaged without that and it’s a separate purchase. My guess is that the white one can be shipped to Australia and that, at the moment, there just aren’t any already packaged without the adapter, which would mean that white is only available in US. I could be wrong, but if the white one means that much to you, you should contact customer service and ask about it. Even the graphite one isn’t shipping in time for Christmas but maybe the white will be available for quicker shipment sometime after the holiday. You could also ask on the forum. There are frequently Australian users there and maybe someone knows definitively.
